Challenge
The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) needed to showcase their methane mitigation initiatives in a way that would resonate with global energy industry leaders and policymakers—positioning themselves as a credible partner and authority in energy transition.
Solution
We designed and produced EDF's Methane Innovation House—a strategic experiential presence with five partner booths and stage for panel discussions. We transformed the room into an engaging hub for meaningful dialogue about methane reduction technologies.

The Environmental Defense Fund's participation in CERAWeek represented a critical opportunity to engage directly with energy industry leaders on one of the most pressing environmental challenges facing the sector: methane emissions. At CERAWeek's Innovation Agora—an open marketplace where the world's energy innovators gather to exchange ideas—EDF needed to show up as both environmental advocates and practical solution partners.
Our approach centered on creating the Methane Innovation House, a thoughtfully designed space that showcased EDF’s primary mitigation tool, a methane satellite named MethaneSAT, as well as five other complimentary partner technologies. The space not only drove home the point that no one tool is a silver bullet in methane reduction, but also fostered genuine dialogue between EDF's scientific expertise and industry professionals seeking actionable methane reduction strategies.
The Legend of Cybertopia
Working closely with EDF's team, we developed an experiential design that balanced educational content, panel discussions, and organic conversational opportunities to create natural touchpoints for meaningful exchanges. Our strategic positioning emphasized EDF's role as a bridge between environmental science and practical implementation, showcasing those technologies and partnerships that demonstrate real-world methane reduction success stories.
The project successfully positioned EDF as an indispensable resource for industry leaders committed to both environmental responsibility and operational excellence, generating valuable connections and advancing critical conversations about the future of energy.
